SAAB built cars with serious performance potential from the factory. The 900 Turbo practically invented the hot turbo sedan. The Viggen was a genuine sports car disguised as a practical hatchback. The 9-3 Aero and 9-5 Aero carried that tradition forward. These are cars that were designed with performance in mind, and they respond beautifully to the right upgrades done the right way.
We approach performance work the way SAAB's engineers would have: holistically. More boost is great, but only if the fueling, cooling, and drivetrain can handle it. Stiffer suspension improves cornering, but only if the bushings and geometry are sorted first. Every modification we do is chosen to work with the car's existing engineering, not fight against it.
Our performance work covers turbo upgrades and rebuilds, ECU tuning, exhaust modifications from downpipe back, intercooler upgrades, suspension lowering and stiffening, and brake upgrades to match increased performance. We also do intake work, boost controller installations, and clutch upgrades for cars that have outgrown their stock clutch. For classic 900 Turbos, we can do everything from a mild tune-up of the existing setup to a full performance build.

SAAB Expertise
SAAB was one of the first manufacturers to put a turbocharger in a production car, and they spent decades refining the technology. From the early Garrett T3-equipped 99 Turbo through the Mitsubishi TD04 setups on the classic 900, to the later Garrett GT17 and GT20 turbos on the NG 9-3 and 9-5. We know every generation of SAAB turbo system intimately. We know what they can handle, where the weak points are, and what upgrades actually deliver results versus what's just marketing hype.
ECU tuning is where SAAB really shines. The Trionic engine management system, particularly Trionic 5 and Trionic 7, is remarkably tunable. A proper ECU tune on a stock-hardware 9-3 or 9-5 can unlock 30-50 additional horsepower with improved drivability and no reliability concerns.
