Tires are the single most important safety component on your car. Everything your vehicle does: accelerate, brake, turn, handle an emergency lane change. It all happens through four palm-sized patches of rubber on the pavement. Worn tires, wrong tires, or improperly inflated tires compromise all of it. We take tire selection and service seriously because it directly affects how your car drives and how safe you are in it.
We handle tire replacement, rotation, balancing, and alignment checks. When it's time for new tires, we'll recommend the right ones for your specific vehicle based on how you drive and what matters to you, whether that's long tread life, wet-weather grip, or a quieter ride.
Seattle's weather puts unique demands on tires. We get rain for months on end, which means hydroplaning resistance and wet traction matter more here than almost anywhere else in the country. Cheap all-seasons with shallow tread patterns struggle in the kind of sustained rain we deal with from October through May. And if you head to the mountains for skiing or hiking, you'll want tires that can handle occasional snow and cold temperatures without needing a full winter set.
We'll also check your alignment when you get new tires. Seattle's roads, between the potholes, the railroad crossings in Georgetown, and the steep grades, can knock your alignment off, leading to uneven tire wear and reduced handling. There's no point putting new tires on a car that's going to chew through them unevenly.
SAAB Expertise
SAABs have specific tire requirements that matter more than most people realize. The front-wheel-drive layout with a turbocharged engine puts significant demands on the front tires since they're handling steering, traction, and all that torque simultaneously. Fitting the wrong tire or the wrong size changes the handling balance that SAAB's engineers worked hard to get right.
Different SAAB models need different approaches. A classic 900 Turbo has different requirements than a 9-5 Aero or a 9-3 SportCombi. We know the correct sizes, load ratings, and speed ratings for every model, and we know which tire brands and compounds work best with SAAB's suspension geometry. We've also seen what happens when the wrong tires get installed: premature wear, traction control issues, and handling that just feels off.
If you're looking for a specific recommendation for your SAAB, give us a call. We'll point you in the right direction based on the model, how you drive, and your budget.
