Services → Brake Repairs
Your safety depends on brakes that work. We make sure they do.
All services include our 18-month / 18,000-mile warranty
Brakes are the single most important safety system on your car. We handle every part of the brake system: rotors, pads, calipers, brake lines (steel and flexible), master cylinders, brake fluid flushes, parking brake adjustments, and ABS module diagnosis and repair. Whether it's a routine pad and rotor replacement or a complete hydraulic system overhaul, we do the job right with quality parts.
We always inspect the full system, not just the part that's making noise. Worn pads are often a symptom. The real question is why they wore unevenly, whether the caliper slides are seized, whether the brake hoses are swelling internally, or whether the master cylinder is pushing fluid evenly. A proper brake job addresses all of it.
Don't wait for the grinding. By the time metal is hitting metal, you've already damaged the rotors and turned a $300 brake job into an $800 one. Here's what to listen and feel for: a high-pitched squealing when braking (that's the wear indicator doing its job), a pulsation or vibration in the brake pedal (usually warped rotors), the car pulling to one side under braking (a stuck caliper or uneven pad wear), or a soft or spongy pedal that goes further to the floor than it used to (air in the lines or a failing master cylinder).
Seattle's hills and wet roads put extra demands on brakes. If you're commuting through Georgetown and downtown daily, your brakes are working harder than in flat, dry climates. Regular inspection catches problems early, and early is always cheaper.
SAAB Expertise
SAAB was a pioneer in automotive safety, and braking was central to that philosophy. SAAB was one of the first manufacturers to implement a dual-circuit hydraulic braking system as standard equipment, meaning if one circuit fails, the other still provides stopping power. That kind of engineering thinking is why people trust these cars with their families, and it's why we take SAAB brake work seriously.
Across the different SAAB generations, from the classic 900 through the 9-3 and 9-5, the brake systems evolved but always maintained that emphasis on safe, predictable stopping. The later models integrated sophisticated ABS and ESP systems that require proper diagnosis when warning lights appear. We have the tools and knowledge to work on every generation, from bleeding a classic 900's system to diagnosing the Bosch ABS modules on the later GM-platform cars.
We carry that same safety-first philosophy SAAB built into their cars. When your brakes leave our shop, they work exactly the way they should.
