Ride quality, handling, and safety all start with your suspension.
All services include our 18-month / 18,000-mile warranty
Your suspension does a lot more than absorb bumps. It keeps your tires planted on the road, controls body roll in corners, and works with your brakes to keep stopping distances predictable. When suspension components wear out, you lose all of that, gradually at first, then noticeably. A bouncy ride, the car pulling to one side, clunking over bumps, uneven tire wear. These are all signs that something in the suspension needs attention.
We work on the full suspension system: struts, shocks, control arms, bushings, springs, sway bar links and end links, tie rods, and ball joints. We diagnose what's actually worn rather than replacing everything at once, though sometimes components wear together and it makes sense to do them as a set.
Between the potholes, the railroad crossings running through Georgetown, and Seattle's famously steep hills, your suspension takes a beating here. Add in the constant moisture that accelerates bushing deterioration and corrosion, and suspension components tend to wear faster in the Pacific Northwest than the maintenance schedule might suggest. We see a lot of cars come in with worn strut mounts, cracked bushings, and sway bar links that have given up, all made worse by our roads and climate.
After any suspension work, we check the alignment and adjust it if needed. New struts or control arms change the geometry, and driving on a misaligned car just accelerates tire wear and makes the handling feel wrong. We want the car to drive right when it leaves, not just feel less clunky.
SAAB Expertise
SAAB put real engineering thought into their suspension geometry. The classic 900's front suspension, the 9-3's sport-tuned setup, the 9-5's touring-oriented balance. Each was designed for a specific driving character. When we service SAAB suspension, we're restoring that original handling feel, not just replacing worn parts with whatever fits.
Some SAAB suspension issues are model-specific and well-known to us. The 9-5's rear trailing arm bushings, the NG 9-3's front strut mount bearing failures, the classic 900's lower ball joints. We've done hundreds of these repairs and know exactly what to look for. We use OEM-quality parts where it matters and can source upgraded components for known weak points where better options exist.
If your SAAB doesn't handle the way it used to, or the way it should, we can get it back there.
For non-SAAB vehicles, availability of this service may vary depending on the vehicle and scope of work. Give us a call and we'll let you know if we can help.
